WHY DO PILATES?
I feel the beauty of Pilates is that it works on
so many different levels but the ultimate aim is to develop strength,
flexibility and above all natural and graceful movement.
Many of my clients come to me referred by physiotherapists,
osteopaths or chiropractors after an injury or due to pain that
could be improved by gaining a better posture or strengthening the
deep “core” muscles.
Other people do Pilates as they want to take a form of exercise
that is focused, intelligent and develops a deeper understanding
and awareness of the body.
Some people want to improve their technique in other sports which
Pilates can help by working the body in a more balanced way and
improving alignment.
Whatever your aims, I want everyone to achieve good movement patterns
and really enjoy discovering what their body is capable of.
